We are a team of working filmmakers preparing production for one of our latest projects - 'Grey'
This script began as an award winning one act play that has been adapted for screen by writer, novelist, and actor Connor Keene. At a time when so many have suffered great loss and faced isolation, we believe this film is all the more important to produce now. This piece is a deeply relatable exploration of how we all question ourselves, how our vision of the world can change from one moment to another, and how we cope with trauma.
Together, with award winning filmmaker, Richard Zelniker, we share the passion and the experience to make a relevant, timely, resonant story.

It is the start of another day, another grey and bleary day that blurs into the next. Life has not been the same since 'the incident'.
On this day, a person known as The Interviewer stares into a mirror rehearsing their smile and the words they know they must say.
There is a knock at the door. Someone has come to speak with them, to talk to this Interviewer about how they are coping ever since this mysterious 'incident'. But this interview is only the first of several. More will come, either willing or unwilling, just as they have come before.
As these interviews unfold, something deeper and darker is bubbling up to the surface. Today, the interviews are about to unravel, and when they do the truth of 'the incident' that binds them all together must be confronted.

HAPAWARDS 2021 interview with
director Richard Zelniker at Orpheum Theater in DTLA
A Montreal native based in Los Angeles, Richard Zelniker is an award-winning writer, director and producer who first became inspired for the movies when working a neighborhood cinema as a teen.
In the 90’s, Zelniker lived in Toronto before moving to Los Angeles, where he began developing his own projects to direct. His acclaimed short, A Test Of Will, which he wrote, produced and directed, led to his award winning feature directorial debut, Fix, starring James Patrick Stuart, (aka, Menage A Trois). Following his award winning debut feature, Zelniker stepped away from the camera and spent the next several years working as a “script doctor”. After seeing several of those scripts achieve success, he decided it was time to jump back into creating and writing his own material again.
Zelniker’s second feature as a director, As Night Comes, (starring Luke Baines and Myko Olivier) began with a theatrical release (Laemmle’s), followed by a SVOD release (Gravitas Ventures). Other scripts Richard is preparing to direct include the Horror feature El Cucuy, and the teen high school thriller BFF. Currently Zelniker is in post production for the upcoming film The Vortex, starring Billy Gardell, Jaina Lee Ortiz, and Jamie McShane.
From 2019 through 2022, Richard directed and produced four award winning shorts: Candy Apple Red, Beckoned starring Ciara Hanna, Green Banana, and Unspoken starring Michael Beach and Jamie McShane.
